Internal Lime Plastering 

1. Insulating Lime Plaster (e.g. Lime Hemp Plaster, Cornerstone Insulating Plaster). Insulating lime plasters incorporate materials like hemp or other natural fibres to improve thermal insulation properties while still offering the benefits of lime plaster, such as breathability and durability. These plasters are suitable for internal walls and provide both insulation and a decorative finish.

2. Insulating Boards (e.g. Cork, Wood Wool, Wood Fibre). In addition to lime plaster, we offer insulating boards made from various materials. These boards can be installed on internal walls to provide additional thermal insulation and soundproofing properties.

External Lime Rendering & Lime Pointing

1. Traditional Lime Harling: Harling is a traditional Scottish method of roughcasting external walls. It involves throwing or slapping a wet mix of lime mortar onto the wall surface, embedding small aggregate from the specialist sand to create a textured finish.

2. Lime Pointing: Lime pointing involves repointing or repairing the mortar joints between masonry units (such as stones or bricks) using lime mortar. This traditional method helps to maintain the structural integrity of the wall while allowing for flexibility and breathability.

3. Lime Pointing & Lime Wash: Lime pointing is often combined with a lime wash, which is a thin, breathable paint made from lime and water. Lime wash provides a protective and decorative finish to external walls while allowing them to breathe and preventing moisture buildup.

4. Flat Lime Plaster: Flat lime plaster is a smoother finish, providing a clean and uniform appearance. It offers the benefits of lime plastering, including breathability and durability, while allowing for various decorative treatments such as painting or lime washing.

5. Traditional Bag Finish: The traditional bag finish involves applying lime plaster in a textured manner by hand or using hessian. This technique creates a rustic, textured finish that adds character to external walls.
